Leonard Fournette is the top prospect in the country and brings his talent to LSU this season.

HOOVER, Ala. LSU reloads unlike any other team. Its coach Les Miles stood at the podium here at SEC Media Days and confirmed the claim that his team leads the country in 3-and-down players.

The last two years the Tigers saw eight underclassmen drafted.

"I keep approaching the NFL on the idea where we get the opportunity to draft back some of the players they take," Miles said.

LSU is doing just fine without the NFL's help. The same may not be true about the next level.

The Tigers need to fill vacancies at quarterback, running back and its two starting wide receivers. LSU isn't panicking.

"I like us," Miles said. "And I like us in every game."

Anthony Jennings and Brandon Harris are the two candidates at quarterback. Terrence Magee, a senior, returns at running back. But it's freshman Leonard Fournette who has created a buzz in summer camp.

"To watch how quick he catches on and the vision he plays with and he speed he plays with in 7-on-7, to run away from people, it's very exciting to see," Magee said.

The 6-1, 224 pound freshman is the top prospect in the country according to 24/7Sports composite rankings.

Magee gave him even higher praise comparing the Fournette to Adrian Peterson. The senior isn't ashamed to share the carries with that kind of talent.

"I know you've guys have seen Adrian Peterson play," Magee said. "Who wouldn't want to play in the same backfield as that guy. I feel like I'm getting my opportunity to play with a guy they compare to Adrian Peterson."

Fournette possesses it all. He can run and catch the ball. He runs with speed and power. Once he gains some experience, Fournette could be passing Magee on the depth chart.

"Most back have three things that make them unique: Vision, speed and power. If you have all three you're really considered a great back," Magee said. "I'm going to be honest with you. I only have two. But when I saw him run the ball, he has the combination of all three."
