Slain Hinds County deputy's funeral set

Funeral arrangements have been set for slain Hinds County Deputy Sheriff Darryl Ethan Davis, according to a news release.

Davis was found dead in a Madison County home Wednesday along with Hinds County Detention Center nurse Lekrisna Myers. Madison County Coroner Alex Breeland said "very conclusive" forensic evidence pointed to Myers as having shot Davis and herself.

The public viewing is on Friday, March 24 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Westhaven Memorial Funeral Home on Robinson Road in Jackson. The funeral will be Saturday March 25 at 11 a.m. at New Dimensions International Church on Alta Woods Blvd. in Jackson.

Burial will follow at Garden Memorial Park Cemetery on U.S. 49 in Jackson.
