Four teenagers have been arrested and charged with armed robbery after they allegedly robbed a man walking his dog.

Christian Battle, 16, Juliano Wells, 15, Cleon Walker, 15, and Cherish Wiggins, 16, all of Jackson, were arrested and charged with armed robbery after Battle, Wells and Walker allegedly robbed a man at gunpoint.

According to Commander Tyree Jones with the Jackson Police Department, Battle, Wells and Walker approached a man walking his dog near Chickasaw Ave. and Council Circle and demanded his belongings.

At least two of the teens were armed, possibly a third, Jones said.

The three boys allegedly took the victim's personal belongings, including a cell phone, and fled on foot before a female, believed to be Wiggins, picked them up in a red Toyota Camry. The victim was not injured in the incident.

The Camry was later spotted near West Street and Mayes Street by a JPD officer. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle and the driver fled. Officers pursued the vehicle and it came to a stop near Fontaine Avenue.

The four suspects were detained and taken into JPD headquarters for questioning.

Multiple handguns were recovered as well as evidence related to the robbery, Jones said. The Camry was reported stolen from Lincoln County on Jan. 26.

The investigation is ongoing and more charges are possible. A bond amount for each of the four has not yet been set.
