Jackson police work new year's 1st shooting

A man is in critical condition after being the victim of a shooting Sunday afternoon.

Jackson Police Department announced on their Twitter account that the 27-year-old man was shot on White Oak Street near Bonita Street. 

The suspect or suspects are believed to be in a dark silver or gray four-door vehicle occupied by three or four men. 

The victim, whose name has not been released, has been transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center where he is listed as critical. 

At this point, police do not have a motive for the shooting.
