MSU defensive end Anfernee Mullins says he'll transfer

Mississippi State defensive end announced he will transfer on Friday.

STARKVILLE - Mississippi State defensive end Anferenee Mullins announced Friday that he plans to transfer.

The freshman defensive end appeared in only three games after redshirting last year. He redshirted last year. Mississippi State couldn't confirm Mullins' intent to transfer, but said the Twitter account is his.

Mullins' second season was sidetracked with an April arrest when he was charged with simple assault.

Mullins was rated as a three-star prospect coming out of Alabama.

He is the third player to explore options other than Mississippi State since the Egg Bowl. Quarterbacks Damian Williams and Nick Tiano are also transferring.
