Authorities searching for bank robber in stolen vehicle

Authorities are trying to identify a man caught on a bank security camera during a bank robbery in Osyka.

Authorities are looking for this man in connection with a bank robbery in Osyka.

A release from the FBI stated a heavy-set male wearing a black Dickies suit entered the First Bank of Osyka at 9:35 a.m. Thursday. As he entered, he pulled a black mesh net over his face and pulled a pistol.

He demanded money and was able to get away with an undisclosed amount. Authorities say the pistol was a .45 caliber or smaller.

The suspect took a bank employee's car keys and fled west toward I-55, according to the FBI. The vehicle is a white 2009 Nissan Altima with the Louisiana tag number SYF 722.

According to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, the man is considered armed and dangerous.
