Man dropped off at hospital dies, JPD investigating

The Jackson Police Department is conducting a death investigation of an unidentified man who died after being dropped off at University Medical Center early Saturday morning.

JPD said a white Chevy Tahoe driven by an unidentified black woman left the scene without providing information around 2:15 a.m. The victim is a black male in his approximately 40 years old with severe trauma to his body, according to the department.

The department is awaiting an autopsy to provide cause of death. They are in need of assistance to identify the victim and the woman that transported him to the hospital.
