A new addition to the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives, with a $100,000 reward on her head, is a Mississippi native accused of killing a pregnant Milwaukee mother.

Shanika Minor is wanted by the FBI

Shanika Shontel Minor, 25, who has family in the Mississippi Delta, is wanted for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, first degree intentional homicide and first degree intentional homicide of an unborn child.

Officials said Minor is wanted in the homicide of Tamecca Perry, who was nine months pregnant in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on March 6.

According to an FBI release, during the late hours of March 5, 2016, Minor instigated an argument with Perry, her mother's neighbor in Milwaukee. Minor confronted Perry on the sidewalk next to her residence, brandishing a semi-automatic firearm and repeatedly challenging her to fight. Minor’s mother tried to intervene, and Minor allegedly fired a round into the air before leaving. Authorities said Minor’s mother had mentioned to her that Perry was playing loud music at an unreasonable hour. Minor was reportedly left with the impression that Perry had disrespected her family.

Shortly before 3 a.m. on March 6, Minor returned to Perry's home and met her by the rear door of her apartment. Minor’s mother again tried to intervene and positioned herself between her daughter and Perry. Minor allegedly shot Perry over her mother's shoulder, striking her in the chest. Perry collapsed and died on the floor of her apartment. Her unborn child, due within a week, also died before emergency crews arrived.

According to authorities, Minor, who was born in Mississippi, may have contact with people in Mississippi, Missouri, Texas, Tennessee, Ohio, Illinois and possibly Georgia. She does not have a history of prior travel outside of the United States or contact with anyone who lives outside the country.

“This heinous act against a mother and her unborn child deserves justice,” said Donald Alway, special agent in charge of the FBI in Mississippi. “The FBI in Mississippi will support the FBI’s Milwaukee Field Office by exhausting every lead in Mississippi to ensure Ms. Minor is found and charged with the alleged crimes.”

Minor is a black female, 5’6” tall, 165 pounds, medium build, with black hair and brown eyes. She has a tattoo of roses on her lower abdomen. Some of the petals are shaded in red, while others are outlined in black. Minor may also use the aliases Shanika Shontel Minor and Ida Jackson.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading directly to Minor's arrest. She is to be considered armed and extremely dangerous.

If you have any information concerning Minor's whereabouts, contact the FBI Jackson field office at 601-948-5000.
