State Democratic Party Chairman Rickey Cole and state Republican Party Chairman Joe Nosef today will speak to the Stennis Capitol Press Forum in Jackson, starting at 12:20 p.m. The chairmen outline the state of their parties in Mississippi. The event comes as state Sen. Chris McDaniel is expected later this afternoon to announce a legal challenge of the results of the June 24 GOP primary, where he lost to incumbent Republican U.S. Sen. Thad Cochran.
