OXFORD -- Behind another prolific passing day from quarterback Bo Wallace, No. 14 Ole Miss routed Louisiana-Lafayette this afternoon.

Wallace threw for 316 yards and four touchdowns, completing his first 14 passes on the team's way to a 56-15 win.

Ole Miss (3-0, 1-0 Southeastern Conference) will take a bye week before playing Memphis on Sept. 27.

Ole Miss got the day started with a 56-yard touchdown run by I'Tavius Mathers, but it was Wallace and the wide receivers who really shined throughout the first half.

Wallace found Jaylen Walton on a wheel route to make it 14-0, and then hit Vince Sanders twice in the second quarter to make it 28-6 at the break.

Coming out of halftime, Ole Miss intercepted a pass that Wallace converted into six points with an acrobatic catch by Cody Core in the back of the endzone. Wallace did not play another snap, finishing the day 23-for-28. He threw an interception in the second quarter, snapping a seven-quarter streak without a turnover.

Wallace moved past Jevan Snead into sole possession of second place on the career touchdowns list with 49, and tied Eli Manning's record of 10 300-yard passing games.

Senquez Golson made it 42-6 with a pick-six six minutes into the third quarter. It was his second interception of the day, and the third for the team.
