A Saturday stabbing left a man dead and a woman charged with murder in McComb, officials said.

McComb police Detective Deska Varnado told The Enterprise-Journal's LaKeadra Coffey that Liston Terrell Brown, 29, was pronounced dead at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.

Police have charged Triana Anderson with second-degree murder.

Police told Coffey that Brown got in an argument with Anderson's boyfriend Dexter Robinson, and Anderson allegedly stabbed Brown.

Authorities said the fight started when Robinson, Anderson, and a few others came to Brown's house on Dyson Drive and Brown told them to leave.

Coffey reports that Robinson and Brown got into a physical altercation, and Brown hit Robinson with a bottle. At that point Anderson stabbed Brown once in the chest, hitting an artery, Varnado said.

Robinson told detectives that Anderson told him, "I stabbed him," then fled the scene, leaving her three children in the car.

Robinson was attempting to use CPR on Brown when police arrived.

A 2-3 inch single-blade knife was found at the scene.
