Forward Terry Brutus plans to transfer from Ole Miss at the end of this semester, Alex Kline of Recruit Scoop reported.

OXFORD - Redshirt junior Terry Brutus plans to transfer from Ole Miss, according to Alex Kline of Recruit Scoop, citing an anonymous source.

Brutus appeared in 36 games during his four-year career with the Rebels, averaging 1.1 points and 7.1 minutes. The forward played in seven games this season, starting once.

Injuries limited Brutus’ time at Ole Miss.

He missed the 2013-14 season, his second with the Rebels, because of a torn ACL in the preseason that led to him receiving a redshirt. Brutus then played in just two games last season because of foot and knee surgeries and missed the start of this season because of an ankle issue.

Brutus, who last played for the Rebels on Jan. 30 against Kansas State, is scheduled to graduate in May, meaning he’d be immediately eligible to play this season as a graduate transfer, which would be his final season of eligibility.

Because of his extensive injury history, the 6-foot-6, 235-pound Brutus could be granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA, meaning he’d have two seasons left to play.

Brutus signed with the Rebels in the 2012 recruiting class as a three-star recruit from Massanutten Military Academy in Woodstock, Virginia. He was the No. 51 small forward and No. 250 player overall, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rating.

He would join former guard J.T. Escobar as members of the 2015-16 team to transfer.
