Jackson police charged one of its officers with aggravated domestic violence. The arrest stems from an incident in March involving another Jackson officer.

Officer Aaron Allen had an altercation with former officer Tina Bianchini. The two were reportedly in a relationship. Bianchini was fired.

Allen was arrested after Bianchini filed against him. She said he knocked her teeth out. Allen posted bond on aggravated domestic violence charges which is a felony. Bianchini was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence.

Police said Allen and Bianchinni got into a shouting match at his home in March that turned physical. Bianchinni's affidavit indicates Allen strangled her, broke two of her teeth and tried to throw her out a window. Allen said she kicked him in his head and struck him in his arms, chest and neck.

At the time of the incident investigators arrested Bianchinni but not Allen, WAPT reported.

"There was no thorough investigation like people in this community would expect," said Bianchinni's lawyer, Carlos Tanner. "There was no neutral party called in."

Bianchinni's lawyers said JPD forced her to resign and tried to cover up Allen's role in the fight.

Chief Lee Vance removed Allen from Mayor Tony Yarber's security detail and took his badge and gun pending the outcome of the investigation.
