STARKVILLE — Mississippi State may be without its leading scorer when it hosts Tulane on Saturday.

The Bulldogs' official Twitter account listed Gavin Ware as doubtful with a lateral bone bruise.

Ware injured his left knee in the second half of Wednesday's 90-66 loss to Florida State. Teammates helped Ware off the court as he couldn't put any weight on his left foot.

Ware leads MSU averaging 18.3 points per game to go with 7.8 rebounds. Despite the limited time against FSU, the senior still finished with 13 points and eight rebounds in 19 minutes.

Mississippi State is already without starting forward Travis Daniels. A concussion held Daniels out against Florida State. He is questionable for Saturday's game. I.J. Ready, MSU's starting point guard, is battling a turf toe injury.

MSU's two remaining starters, Malik Newman and Craig Sword, played through cramps in the second half against FSU.

The bumps and bruises have handcuffed coach Ben Howland's options off the bench. True freshmen Aric Holman and Joe Strugg have yet to debut this season because of leg injuries.

MSU quarterback Elijah Staley played six minutes in Tallahassee after Johnny Zuppardo and Fallou Ndoye fouled out. In 28 combined minutes, Zuppardo and Ndoye finished with three rebounds, three points and 10 fouls.
