OXFORD — Ole Miss had three of the top 10 selections in NFLDraftScout.com’s Dane Brugler’s most recent mock draft, which was done for CBS Sports.

Ole Miss defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche was one of three Rebels projected to go in the top 10 of a recent CBS Sports mock draft.

Brugler projected offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil to go second to the San Francisco 49ers, defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche third to the Tennessee Titans and wide receiver Laquon Treadwell to go 10th to the New Orleans Saints.

Here are his thoughts on why those players should be chosen in those spots.

Tunsil: The San Francisco roster needs rebuilt, starting with the offensive line. The right tackle position has been an issue, but Tunsil would fix that as a rookie and give San Francisco a long-term answer when left tackle Joe Staley hangs up his cleats.

Nkemdiche: The Titans rank near the bottom of the league in run defense and Nkemdiche offers both the athleticism and power to make stops at the line and penetrate the backfield.

Treadwell: Regardless of who is at quarterback, the Saints need to find the “new” Marques Colston – a large target with athleticism. That description fits Treadwell who is a less dynamic version of Dez Bryant.

Ohio State’s Joey Bosa, Memphis’ Paxton Lynch and Notre Dame’s Ronnie Stanley filled out Brugler’s top five, going to the Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears and Kansas City Chiefs, respectively.
