Marion County man found shot to death Wednesday night

Deputies are looking for leads in the Wednesday night shooting of a Marion County man.

Curtis Franklin Owens, 57, was found shot to death inside his home in the Sandy Hook community, WDAM's Ryan Moore reports.

Deputies found Owens' body in the mobile home on Old Highway 35 around 9:15 p.m. His body has been sent to the state crime lab for autopsy.

"The male suffered from what appears to be multiple gunshots," Marion County Investigator Jamie Singley told Moore.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation and the District Attorney's office will assist in the investigation. Authorities couldn't give any further details of the investigation.

WDAM reports that there are no suspects at this point in the investigation.
