The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Jackson captured surveillance video of a man stealing donations.

Spokesperson Joe Miceli said video shows a man driving a red minivan taking donations left at the warehouse. The suspect backed his vehicle up to the building, then put a bag over the camera.

Miceli said the gate is automatic so people can drop off donations, WAPT reported.

"That merchandise that he took could have been for someone that their house burned down or for someone that's been in our shelter that had no clothes. That's the heartbreaking part," Miceli said.
